Good question – glad you asked.
The answer is simple.
True answers come from within yourself, your experience, your personality, your particular “place in time” – not mine. If an answer comes only from “without” how can you embrace it? How is it authentic? It is borrowed and not owned by you. Thus, not truly yours.
Authenticity – be true to yourself, what you stand for, be your essence (bone soup).
As a martial arts practitioner I have been taught “remember to respect always others”; to value their individuality. Thus, I give guidance but no roadmap. That is the way of our kind. Mentor, not cattle prod.
Listen to the other’s view…
The goal is there always. How you get there is within yourself. I will be here to ask the questions, if you wish.
PS: I promise soon to close the loop on the octopus. Really.
